About Lorna Tate - Wedding Dress Designer and Dressmaker in Edinburgh

I started to sew and draw designs at a very young age and have designed and made special occasion wear for others for many years. When the opportunity came to start my own business I decided to specialise in making bridal wear, and took a number of advanced sewing courses in bridal wear techniques and corsetry. I also have a special interest and take inspiration from fashion and the construction of clothing through the ages as well as modern styles and techniques.

I really enjoy working with brides, understanding and transforming ideas into a wedding gown which will look and feel wonderful to wear, fit perfectly, and be unique to the bride and her personal style. I am committed to providing the very best attention and high quality gown to every client who comes to me, no matter what their budget.

I work at home where I have a large well equipped workroom/studio and a quiet, relaxed & private fitting room. Evening or weekend appointments are easily arranged and friends and family are always welcome to come along.
